EDI Task Force

Goals

  1. Promote, advocate and educate on equity, diversity and inclusion within our member community.
  2. Foster competence to address the evolving needs of patients, community and colleagues through evidence-based engagement and education opportunities.
  3. Provide a safe forum for discussions around equity, diversity and inclusion, for our members.

Selection Process:

  • The Division will strike a time-limited Selections Committee for the sole purpose of assessing applications to join the Task Force
  • The Selections Committee will be comprised of two physician members and two operational staff to ensure different perspectives, and should reflect the diversity of the broader community
  • We suggest having two Board members (excluding the intended Board Liaison) be part of the Selections Committee
  • To prevent a conflict of interest, physician members of the Selections Committee will not be part of the EDI Task Force

Composition of EDI Member Task Force:

  • The Task Force will have 5-6 members: 4 or 5 open spots to be filled, plus 1 Board Liaison
  • The physician lead may opt to participate in Task Force activities, but is not considered a member of the Task Force
