Marine Gateway Medical Clinic is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Office Assistant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy multidisciplinary medical clinic.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Greeting and registering patients
• Verifying and updating patient demographics
• Checking MSP and other medical coverage
• Scheduling, confirming, and coordinating patient appointments
• Preparing examination rooms for patient visits
• Measuring and recording patient height and weight
• Collecting laboratory specimens and preparing specimens for courier pick-up
• Processing specialist referrals, requisitions, and other medical documentation
• Answering a multi-line telephone system and returning patient calls
• Collecting payments for uninsured services and issuing receipts
• Scanning, uploading, and maintaining electronic medical records
• Restocking examination rooms and medical supplies
• Assisting physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals with administrative and clinical support as required
• Providing exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality

Position Requirements:

• Medical Office Assistant Certificate (or equivalent) New graduates are welcome to apply

Assets:

• Fluency in Korean, Cantonese, or Mandarin
• Experience with Myle (MEDFAR) EMR

Availability:

• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
• Monday to Friday 10am-6pm
• Monday to Wednesday 9am-5pm
• Monday to Friday 10am-2pm
• Saturday-Sunday 9am-5pm
