BC Echo on Substance Use: Identifying and Treating Alcohol Use Disorder in Primary Care

By the end of this BC ECHO on Substance Use session, participants will be able to:

1. Discuss approaches to screening and assessing for high-risk alcohol use and alcohol use disorder in primary care;
2. Discuss the diagnostic criteria for alcohol use disorder;
3. Describe approaches to alcohol withdrawal management in different care settings; and
4. Identify treatment considerations for alcohol use disorder, including pharmacological and psychosocial approaches
