Our team includes family physicians, physician specialists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, midwives, pharmacists, and more, all working together to redefine the patient experience through longitudinal and preventative care.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Answer Telephone
Data entry tasks
Educate patients about clinic policies
EMR task management
Ensuring daily paperwork complete
Escort patient to exam room
File & update medical charts
Notify patients of availability of lab results
Patient appointment Scheduling and maintenance
Process and follow up on Referrals
Restock supplies in patient rooms
Send/Respond to office mail and emails
Setup/clean patient rooms
Telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy
Work in reception (greet patients)
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
Monitor and log inventory and supplies
Order Inventory and supplies
Resolve issues with Referral process
Set up for clinical procedures (Pap, Immunization, etc)
Triage patients over the telephone

Position Requirements:

Customer service focus and strong people skills
Proficient computer skills and ability to troubleshoot minor IT problems
Good organizational and time management skills
Canadian citizenship

Genetica Medical & Wellness Centre, a modern, well-established clinic in Downtown Vancouver, is looking to grow their team. Health is much more than the mere lack of disease. It’s a positive vitality that takes into account a person’s entire wellbeing: the psychological, biological, and physiological. At Genetica, physicians & practitioners take a holistic view on health and believe that wellness is not a state or a place, but an ongoing process and way of living. The clinic is brand new, and located in central downtown Vancouver, and is currently in the process of expanding in the next year to accommodate more providers and staff.

They are a full-scope family practice supported by a clinic director, 4 nurse practitioners, 2 full-time RNs, 1 pharmacist, 1 midwife, 1 dietician, administrative team, physician specialists, and more. The administrative team is composed of a clinic manager, 3 MOAs, and a clinic assistant. The clinic has multiple exam rooms with 5 physicians working in the clinic and conducts appointments both virtually and in person. The patient population includes geriatric, LGBTQ+, young professionals, and families, with specialties in weight management, obesity medicine, and medical aesthetics.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, weekends by appointment
