Job Specifics
Mint Medical is looking for a long-term junior medical office assistant for Sundays (9am-3pm) alongside another medical office assistant. There will only be 1 doctor working on Sundays with 2 MOA's. The ideal candidate would be able to pick things up quickly to transition to further responsibilities/roles in the future.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Answer Telephone
- Data entry tasks
- EMR task management
- Ensuring daily paperwork complete
- Escort patient to exam room
- File & update medical charts
- Notify patients of availability of lab results
- Patient appointment Scheduling and maintenance
- Process and follow up on Referrals
- Restock supplies in patient rooms
- Send/Respond to office mail and emails
- Setup/clean patient rooms
- Work in reception (greet patients)
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Measure and record health data and vital signs
Position requirements:
- Experience in a family practice setting
- Customer service focus and strong people skills
- Experience with Oscar and Medaccess EMR
- Good organizational and time management skills

Mint Medical Clinic, a modern clinic in the Cedar Cottage area built in 2023, is looking to grow their team. They are a full-scope family practice that is well supported by multiple MOAs, an LPN and an RN. This modern clinic has 7 exam rooms, 2 physician offices, a lunchroom, and a private staff washroom with 4 physicians working in the clinic. The clinic conducts appointments both virtually and in person, using both Oscar Juno EMR integrated with Cortico/e-fax and Telus Med-access integrated with Ocean/E-fax. The patient population is a full-spectrum of young families, working professionals, and the elderly.

Hours: Monday-Friday, Sunday
