Looking for someone to cover maternity leave, 0.5 FTE, from June 2026-Jan 2027. Physicians schedule is Monday and Thursday 9-5, then a half day Friday (days of the week are flexible).
Kilala Lelum is an Urban Indigenous Health and Wellness Cooperative. It's a very unique and special setting - have an incredible interdisciplinary team with elders, RNs, counsellors, physios, social workers, and a robust Indigenous cultural wellness team. About 70% of patients are Indigenous. Physicians panel includes women's health, maternity care, well child care, OAT, iOAT, and gender affirming care as well as bread and butter family medicine. You do not need to have competency in all those subspeciality areas but it is in asset.
They have a contract with VCH and get paid $207/hour (shadow billing), and there is no on call requirement (though we do share weekend call, and there's a separate pot of money for that so if that's something you wanted to do you could). The Family Physician would be happy to connect by phone to discuss with anyone interested to see if it would be a good fit; you could also come by the clinic for a tour and meet and greet.
