Responsibilities of the Role:
- Answer Telephone
- Data entry tasks
- Educate patients about clinic policies
- EMR task management
- Ensuring daily paperwork complete
- Escort patient to exam room
- File & update medical charts
- Other related duties as required
- Patient appointment Scheduling and maintenance
- Process and follow up on Referrals
- Restock supplies in patient rooms
- Send/Respond to office mail and emails
- Setup/clean patient rooms
- Telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy
- Work in reception (greet patients)
- Order Inventory and supplies
- Manage patient complaints
- Measure and record health data and vital signs
- Monitor and log inventory and supplies
- Prepare patient for examination
- Resolve issues with Referral process
- Set up for clinical procedures (Pap, Immunization, etc)
- Step in to support other function needed
- Create provider schedule and daysheets
- Help Assign tasks
- Help develop processes
- Review/submit private and MSP refusals and rejections
- Submit MSP, ICBC & WCB billing claims
- Support Training of new staff and providers
- Triage patients over the telephone
Position Requirements:
- Experience in a family practice setting
- Customer service focus and strong people skills
- Proficient computer skills and ability to troubleshoot minor IT problems
- Good organizational and time management skills

Heather Medical Clinic, a bright and modern clinic in the heart of West Broadway, is looking to grow their team. They are a hybrid walk-in/family practice supported by a pediatrician. This well-established clinic spans two floors, with the main floor housing the clinic space, 5 exam rooms, and 1 counselling room, while the lower level holds an additional 4 physicians' offices and a lounge. Currently, there are 3 physicians working in the clinic and there are 2 MOAs on shift per provider. The clinic conducts appointments both virtually and in person. The patient population is full-spectrum.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
