On June 25^th, 2024 the Vancouver Primary Care Networks (PCNs) hosted an in-person event to engage Primary Care Providers (Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners) who are currently accessing the PCN’s Interprofessional Team (IPT) Program. The event was an opportunity to update providers on some of the feedback that has been collected over recent PCN experience surveys, engage them on elements of future planning for the PCN, and spend some time connecting teams and listening to stories of team-based care.  We also had an opportunity to invite representatives from the different IPT allied health disciplines to host tables to meet with providers and speak more about how they support their patients through a “speed dating” type format.

The event was attended by 70 providers (55 Family Physicians and 15 Nurse Practitioners) from all 6 of Vancouver’s PCNs. We are pleased that 100% of attendees who filled our event evaluation said they would attend another PCN Event in the future. Feedback received at the event will help to inform some new IPT initiatives we are hoping to implement in the near future.
