On February 4th, 2025 the Vancouver Division hosted an event to dialogue about the important topic of women's health. The event offered a chance to hear from providers and host table discussions on accessing resources within the city. 75 providers, including Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners attended the event. The program was built in collaboration with the Federation of Medical Women of Canada.
Past President, Dr. Shelley Ross opened the event and shared more about the Federation and it's history. The keynote address was provided by the Federation's current president, Dr. Ramneek Dosanjh. The Vancouver Division's Physician Lead, Dr. Fiona Duncan, then hosted a panel discussion about access to reproductive supports with Doctors Renee Hall, Michelle Huget and Heather Jenkins.
The second half of the evening involved table discussions which reflected on the previous presentation and panel discussions, explored the level of comfort for providers in knowing what women's health supports are available, and how to access them, as well as what possible supports the Vancouver Division could provide to advance access to women's healthcare. The event was captured by a graphic facilitator who created the image below.

Thank you to Sam Bradd from Drawing Change for creating this infographic.

When asked what they liked about the event, the many people appreciated the ability to connect and network with colleagues.
The Vancouver Division will be reviewing feedback from table discussions as well as the event evaluation to help inform future opportunities and event planning.
