The Vancouver PCN brings you the second of 2 events that will foster experiential learning, and expanding perspectives on diversity and inclusion to continue the discussion around decolonization in healthcare.
Event 2: Indigenous Knowledge Sharing Experience at the Native Education College

Join us on the evening of Thursday March 13th, for an important and enriching evening at the Native Education College (285 East 5th Ave. Vancouver), where we’ll explore Indigenous perspectives and cultural resilience. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to connect with Indigenous cultures and learn from leading voices in the community.
Event Highlights:
- Opening Prayer and Storytelling by an Elder:A meaningful start to the event, guiding us through cultural teachings and fostering a deeper understanding.
- Indigenous Art Activity: Create your journey stick under the guidance of Prudence Reid, an artist and therapist from the Haìłzaqv (Heiltsuk) Nation, blending art with cultural storytelling.
- Indigenous Speakers: Holly Anderson, an Indigenous Métis social worker, educator, and Program Manager for Indigenous children in care, will speak alongside Amber Moon, an Indigenous youth advocate, and share powerful insights from their journey.
This event will focus on Indigenous knowledge and culture, centering on listening, learning and experience through cultural activities and amplifying indigenous voice through dialogues on systemic racism and representation of indigenous voices.
