End of Excelleris Support for PharmaNET Access
PharmaNET has announced that Excelleris is ceasing support for PharmaNET access. This means that if you use Excelleris to access PharmaNET, your access will terminate as of January 31, 2026.

My clinic uses Excelleris to access PharmaNET; what do I do?

You will need to re-register as a Community Health Practice in PharmaNET, using one of the following 4 vendor options:

  • iClinic Inc.: 604-566-9862
  • Medinet: 1-800-737-3771
  • Plexia Electronic Medical Systems Inc.: 604-269-3733
  • CareConnect: Note that this is the only free option. More information on accessing it below.

Access through CareConnect

Note: The clinic name in CareConnect must be identical to the clinic name specified when you re-register your site in PharmaNET. Double check that the names match before completing the PharmaNET registration.

To request access to PharmaNET through CareConnect, you must have your site registered as a Community Health Practice in CareConnect.

If your clinic is not yet registered in CareConnect
  1. Register your clinic as a site in CareConnect
Complete set of guides to registering as a Community Health Practice in CareConnect – start with the steps outlined in the ‘Register Your Site’ section. Once your site registration is approved, you can move on to Step 2.
  2. Notify CareConnect team of your intent to access PharmaNET
Email the CareConnect team at careconnect@phsa.ca to notify them of your intent to access PharmaNET via the CareConnect portal.
  3. Re-register your site in PharmaNET
Once you have enrolled your clinic, had it approved, and notified the CareConnect team of your intent to access PharmaNET through CareConnect, you can begin the process of re-registering your site in PharmaNET at this point by following the step-by-step guide. Don’t forget that the clinic (site) name you specify while re-registering in PharmaNET must be identical to the one you specified while registering for CareConnect.
If your clinic is already registered with CareConnect
  1. Notify the CareConnect Team
You must notify the CareConnect team of your intention to access PharmaNET through CareConnect by emailing careconnect@phsa.ca.
  2. Re-register your site in PharmaNET
When you re-register your site in PharmaNET, ensure that the clinic name is identical to the clinic name registered in CareConnect to avoid any connectivity issues. The site registration portal can be accessed through the main PharmaNET enrolment page, and you might find the step-by-step guide helpful for this.
