A Panel & Workshop on Building Respectful, Inclusive Work Cultures
Dear Colleagues,
I wanted to share two excellent palliative care resources that you may find useful in your busy practices.
iPalapp.com – A user-friendly website from PHC with concise, practical guidance on palliative care topics, including symptom management, communication strategies, and prognostication. It’s designed for quick reference at the point of care. I specifically appreciate their CPR outcome statistics found here: Plan – iPal and the CPR video decision aid for patients.
BC Centre for Palliative Care – Symptom Management Guidelines – This resource provides clear, up-to-date, evidence-based recommendations organized by symptom. I find myself accessing these guidelines to help build a framework when teaching learners. They are also nice to double check my approach and ensure I’m still current in my own practice!
Both are excellent tools to support palliative care decision-making in a busy clinical setting. I encourage you to bookmark them for easy access!
