PCN RN Working Group, 2026
To achieve the RN Program goals, the Vancouver Division and VCH are committed to meaningful stakeholder engagement to build trust, enable informed decision making, and positive coproduction.
To enable this, we launched the PCN RN Program Working Group earlier this year, to shape program improvement based on the voices of those delivering it in Vancouver.
The Working Group includes Registered Nurses, Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners across Vancouver with experience of the PCN RN Program and Team Based Care. In creating a platform for participants to share their insights and perspectives, the Working Group aims to have a significant positive impact on the ability of the PCN RN program to support team-based and person-centered care.
Membership:
- Five PCN Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Three Family Physicians (FPs) and two Nurse Practitioners (NPs) providing longitudinal primary care in the city of Vancouver and currently based at a Vancouver Primary Care clinic with a co-located RN
PCN RN Working Group updates:
The Working Group have been key to advising program strategies and activities, advocating for the RN role within and beyond their clinics and codesigning resources, tools and engagement strategies to increase appropriate RN utilization.
