Job Specifics

RISE Community Health Centre is seeking a permanent nurse practitioner (NP).

Flexible scheduling options available for an NP from:

  • 8:30am – 6:30pm Monday – Friday
  • 8:30am – 5:00pm on Saturdays

The NP can work anywhere from 2 days (17 hours) – 5 days (37.5 hours) per week. They will see an average of 15 patients per day. No on-call requirements.

  • Salaried, Non-Fee-For-Service, no overhead contribution required
  • Extended health and dental benefits; Multi-sector pension plan
  • Annual reimbursement for: British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives license renewal fees and CNPS liability protection fees (pro-rated to FTE)
  • Paid vacation starting at 4 weeks per year (prorated for FTE) plus paid sick days
  • RISE NPs are eligible for NP Continuing Professional Development Funding through the Nurse and Nurse Practitioners of British Columbia, plus 5 paid days (prorated to FTE) to participate in Continuing Medical Education

All prescribers are required to have OAT certification to be able to provide primary care to people with addictions if needed.

As part of a team-based approach to full-service family medicine, an interested Nurse Practitioner (NP) would work collaboratively within the team and establish their own patient panel as required by the Ministry. This position can be full-time or part-time and is salaried.

RISE Community Health Centre is excited to add an NP to their team who is committed to working together to deliver primary care to the local community. The role is part of the Primary Care Networks (PCNs) initiative in Vancouver. NPs interested in this opportunity should be willing to work as part of a team and support the development of PCNs in the community.

Rise Community Health Centre, a professional and inclusive clinic in the Renfrew-Collingwood area, is looking to grow their team. Services are delivered by a diverse interdisciplinary team, working in partnership with other Collingwood Neighbourhood House departments and partnering agencies. The CHC has 4 exam rooms and 4 counselling/multi-purpose spaces, and conducts appointments both virtually and in person. There are 2-3 MOAs working to support 4 providers at any given time. The patient population consists of newcomers, LGBTQ2S+, Indigenous individuals, isolated seniors, youth, people experiencing homelessness, those working in the sex trade, and individuals facing mental health and substance use issues. RISE serves a large number of children and families and provides medical outreach to some low income buildings in the neighborhood. PLS is used for interpretation but additional languages are an asset; including Mandarin/Cantonese, Spanish, Arabic and others for the diverse neighbourhood.

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:30pm
  • Saturdays 9:00am-5pm

They support the health and well-being of Renfrew-Collingwood residents by offering community-based primary care and health promotion services.
