Job Specifics

Long-term Locum Opportunity available in January 2025 to cover a maternity leave. The schedule is 3 days a week (approx. 0.7 FTE) for up to 12 months. The clinic would be interested in a candidate who could only commit to a portion of that time for a few months.

Ongoing Locum Needs to cover vacation throughout 2024, approximately 49 weeks that require coverage. This can be for 1-4 weeks at a time, often 3-4 days a week when covering a Family Physician. The clinic is also open to flexible schedules and would consider lesser commitments depending on the situation.

Compensation: 1 hour of paid indirect care for every 6 hours of direct care. An additional 1 hour of paid indirect care per day if covering an inbox, for a total of 2 hours of paid indirect care for every 6 hours of direct care.

The clinic is open to fully licensed and provisional licensed candidates.

REACH Community Health Centre is an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals that offer a variety of health and social services, including family medicine, dental services, pharmacy, counseling, registered nurses, social work services, and a Multicultural Family Centre. Embedded within the Community Health Centre, there is a wide range of allied health supports and programming to address the social determinants of health.

The team currently includes 7 Family Physicians (7 FTE) and 2 Nurse Practitioners (1.0 FTE), with an approximate 1:1 ratio of MOA to Family Physician. There are 2 counsellors and 2 social workers on site daily from 9am-5pm to provide support, in addition to a full-time operations manager. Active mentorship is available through peer group support and weekly meetings, with 1:1 mentorship negotiable.

Each physician occupies 1 exam room per shift, and the CHC has a total of 9 rooms. There are communal areas for team interactions, as well as a group room, kitchen, and outdoor patio for relaxation. Parking is free within 2 blocks of the office.
